Facet Joint Injection
What is a Facet Joint Injection?
A Facet Joint Injection is an injection of local anaesthetic and/or steroid into and around the facet joint. These are small paired joints at the back of the spinal column.
Please ensure the following steps are followed. They will serve to prepare you for your examination and/or procedure.
- Appointment required for this procedure
- If you take Warfarin or other blood thinning agents, you will need to notify our staff as this may require cessation or blood tests prior to the procedure
- There is no specific preparation for procedure
- You will be asked to sign a consent form
